Gullet retires as Kenya Red Cross boss after 46 years of service
Abbas Gullet on Wednesday retired as the Secretary-General of the Kenya Red Cross Society after 46 years of service.
Announcing his retirement during his farewell party on November 27, the Kenya Red Cross commended him for dedicating his life to the society and serving as its head for the past 14 years.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, who was the chief guest at the farewell party, praised Gullet for his humanitarian service to the nation.
“We can’t thank you enough for the service you have rendered to this country,” said Matiang’i.
The Kenya Red Cross Society has become the face of Kenya’s hope in times of tragedy.
