Uhuru Park is one of the most popular parks in Nairobi. It offers an ideal open space for relaxation, comfort and interaction with friends and family members.

With a budget ranging from Sh500 to Sh1,000 one can relax and enjoy nature or engage in activities such as boat riding, horse riding and face painting for children.

Other parks within the city  include Lunar Park that offers a wide range of children’s activities, ranging from Sh250 to Sh500. Memorial Park Museum is also another option.

And with just Sh300 one can also visit the Nairobi Safari Walk to see wildlife while learning the history of some animals within the park.

Though food from outside is not allowed, there is an open-air restaurant right outside the park that offers a wide variety of meals.

Other parks that fall in the same category include the Nairobi National Park that offers wildlife experience to both locals and tourists.

One can also venture into Paradise Lost, located close to Kiambu Town, about 10km from Nairobi.

The paradise is a maze of caves and it features a stunning waterfall and if you are quite observant, you will see birds and several ostriches.

Arboretum along State House Road is another accessible option. You might want to carry play equipment such as play mats, kites, and ropes to keep yourself busy.
