Kenyan musician, songwriter, fashion enthusiast and ex Rico Gang member Gee Gee has parted ways with the upbeat gengetone trio, Rico Gang.

Notably missing from Willis Raburu’s latest single Jeshi featuring Rico Gang, Ssaru and Fathermoh, the heavy-spitting artiste has exclusively revealed to Spice that she left the group recently over what she termed as “different ambitions”.

“I’m officially a solo artiste, and I’m looking forward to this new adventure as a solo act.

My time with the boys has been one I’ll always cherish and I’m grateful. But it’s time to grow up and do my thing.”

Gee Gee, the lead woman of the group, gave the collective a different dynamic and a female edge, and will be releasing her latest single in the coming days.
