Gachagua meets Murang’a MCAs at his Wamunyoro residence day after meeting Nakuru county leaders

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, met the Murang’a Members of County Assembly (MCAs) at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County.

During the talks which come as part of Gachagua’s continued engagement to listen to the people, the leaders discussed the welfare of Murang’a residents to identify key challenges that affect them. 

“The voice of the people is at the grassroots. Our constitution 2010 remains a gamechanger in the creation and empowerment of the MCAs, who at all times are the voice of the people.

“In this call, I engaged at my Wamunyoro Residence, the incredible MCAs from Murang’a County. They have shared with me what the people of Murang’a County are saying in the villages we all belong to,” Gachagua said. 

Adding; 

“This forward-thinking mindset is essential as we aim to create sustainable solutions that will benefit generations to come.”

Gichobe Mbatia (Kariara Ward),  Bernard Ruiru (Mbiri Ward), John Kamau (Gaichanjiru Ward), Peter Munga ( Murarandia Ward), Musa Mirara (Kangari ward), Steven Muigai (Kakuzi Ward), Noah Gachucha( CECM Youth & Sports), Thomas Muteti ( Makuyu Ward), Margaret Gichia -Wakangatta  (Wangu Ward), Alex Ndunda (Ithanga Ward), Caroline Njoroge (Kiguno Ward), Edwin Wairagu (Gitugi Ward), Kamau Kagori ( Rwathia Ward), Samson Mukora (Kagundu-ini Ward), Hillary Muigai (Ichagaki Ward), Anthony Marubu (Mugoiri Ward), Grace City (Kanyenyaini Ward), Mwangi Mpesa (Nginda Ward), Warisper Elizabeth (Kimomori Ward), John Kibaiya ( Gatanga Ward), Alex Wanyoike (Mugumo-ini Ward).

Meeting with Nakuru MCAs

The latest meeting comes a day after the former DP met with Nakuru leaders. 

During the meeting, Gachagua maintained that he will continue to engage leaders from the grassroots to the national level to bring together findings on the country’s economic situation. 

“I will continue engaging leaders from the grassroots to the national level to bring together a comprehensive report on the economic situation of the country and the way forward,” Gachagua added.
