‘Hao wazee walikua kwa serikali ya handshake waliharibu Kenya’ – Gachagua attacks Azimio leaders

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has maintained his sustained attacks on Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking during a burial ceremony in Murang’a county, the country’s second-in-command maintained that Raila and his ally former President Uhuru Kenyatta are responsible for the country’s sorry state of economy.

He claimed that the previous regime misused funds meant to steer the country’s economic progress for their own selfish uses.

“Hao wazee walikua kwa serikali ya handshake, wakaharibu Kenya, unga ikatoka 140 ikapanda mpaka 230, walikua pale, Pesa ya Corona ikaibiwa billioni walikua hapo, wale wenye handshake waliuza maziwa miaka kumi hawajalipa Kodi,

“Sasa ati wanatupigia makelele, walichukua pesa 200 billion ya Kenya wakaeka kwa BBI ikazama, wakachukua shilingi 1.5 trillion ya Kenya wakaweka kwa project Azimio kuhonga watu wakaanguka, wakaharibu Kenya,” he stated.

While defending the President William Ruto-led administration, Gachagua cautioned the opposition against ‘threatening’ the government and reiterated that they were fighting tooth and nail to stabilise the country’s dwindling economy.

“Nilisimama pale Kasarani siku ya kuapishwa nikasema tumekuta store hakuna kitu ata panya hakuna kitu ya kukula imetoroka, sasa wanatupigia makelele pale, wenye kuharibu Kenya ni wao,

“Tumengangana unga tumetermsha from 230 imeteremka imefika 180, fertiliser pia tumetermsha bei, tunangana kwa sababu tumekuta uchumi umeharibika Kenya hakuna, tunangangana tunawaomba mtupatie nafasi; Lakini muambie hawa msiuzie William Ruto uoga, Ruto na mimi si watoto was cerelac wale mmezoea kuuzia uoga,” he added.
