Full list of Kenyans conferred with State Awards on Jamhuri Day

More than 500 Kenyans were honoured by President William Ruto with national awards during the Jamhuri Day celebrations on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

These awards recognize distinguished and outstanding contributions to the nation in various capacities.

The honours include other distinguished categories such as the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) and Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS), highlighting individuals from the military, public service, healthcare, and justice systems.

Ruto conferred awards to several military officers, civilians, and professionals in recognition of their service.

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja was among six Kenyans honoured with the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H) award (Third Class).

The other five recipients in this category were drawn from the ranks of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu was also recognized with the Elder of the Golden Heart (E.G.H), the second-highest honour under the Order of the Golden Heart.
