‘My networth is Ksh950M – Former CBK Governor Njuguna Ndung’u reveals

Treasury Cabinet Secretary nominee Njuguna Ndung’u has revealed that he is worth Ksh950 million.

The former Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Governor disclosed his worth when he appeared before the vetting committee on appointments on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

“I’m currently earning in dollars but it’s translated into Ksh950million,” he stated.

Ndung’u who has served as CBK governor for 8 years disclosed that he accumulated a mega share of his wealth from financial investments.

“I think my anticipated earnings will be gratuity coming once my contract comes to an end unfortunately even if I am approved I would have to leave this job,” he stated.

He added that he was salaried under the Africa Economic Research Consortium.

The professor of economics was part of President William Ruto’s economic experts during the campaign period.
