FKF WPL kick-off dates, opening round fixtures announced
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Premier League is gearing up for an exhilarating 2024/25 season, with kick-off slated for the weekend of September 14-15, 2024.
Reigning champions Kenya Police Bullets will launch their title defence against KISPED, a team making a return to the top flight.

KISPED will be looking to find their rhythm in their comeback season, while the champions aim to continue their dominant form from last season’s unbeaten run.
The ASK Grounds in Nakuru will host Trinity Starlets FC (formerly Nakuru City Queens) as they face Bunyore Starlets.
Trinity Starlets, playing on home turf, will aim to capitalize on their home advantage, while Bunyore Starlets seek to deliver a strong performance on the road.
Two of last season’s title contenders, Vihiga Queens and Ulinzi Starlets, will clash in what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter.
Both teams will be keen to set the tone for their campaign with a statement victory. Bungoma Queens, aiming to improve on last season’s 6th-place finish, will host Kibera Soccer Women, who finished 4th.
This opening match is crucial for both teams as they look to establish themselves as strong contenders this season.
Kisumu Allstarlets FC, back in the top flight after a season in the FKF Women’s National Super League, will take on Zetech Sparks, a varsity team that narrowly avoided relegation last season.
This encounter will be a test of resolve for both teams as they aim to start the season on a positive note. Mombasa Olympic will make their top-flight debut against the seasoned WADADIA FC.
Playing on familiar ground could provide an edge, but WADADIA’s experience will be a key factor in this encounter.
The FKF Women’s Premier League is back, and the opening weekend fixtures are set to lay the foundation for an exciting season ahead.
