Lawyer Faith Odhiambo wins LSK presidential election

Lawyer Faith Mony Odhiambo is the new President-elect of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

Odhiambo clinched the seat after beating four other candidates to emerge as the winner in elections held on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

According to the results released by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the outgoing Vice President of LSK won in all the polling stations at Milimani and Supreme Court, where she got 132 and 207 votes respectively.

Odhiambo will now succeed Eric Theuri who has served as LSK president since March 2022.

She will serve for a non-renewable two-year- term.

During her campaigns, Odhiambo received a huge boost after former prime minister and ODM party leader Raila Odinga endorsed her candidature.

Other candidates who faced off against Odhiambo were Peter Wanyama, Carolyne Kamende, Harriet Mboche and Kipkoech Bernhard Ngetich.
