Eugene Wamalwa, Omtatah mourn former Busia Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi
DAP-K Party leader Eugene Wamalwa is mourning the death of former Busia Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi.
Mulomi served as the Busia Deputy Governor before contesting for the county’s governor position in 2022. He lost the seat to Paul Otuoma who was declared the winner after garnering 164,478 votes.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Wamalwa mourned Mulomi as a resourceful leader who touched lives and left a mark on development, politics and the devolution space.
The DAP-K leader also regretted that Mulomi’s death had robbed his family and Kenyans of an impactful leader, he also reminisced about his recent interaction with the departed leader.

“His loss has robbed the family, bamarachi, the people of Busia and Kenya, a resourceful person who touched many lives and left a mark in development, politics and the devolution space. May his soul RIP,” he said.
Omtatah joins Wamalwa
Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah also mourned Mulomi as a true leader who served with humility and dedication.
He acknowledged the departed leader’s contributions to Busia County during his stint as the county’s deputy governor.
“Hon. Mulomi was a true leader who served with humility and dedication, always placing the interests of our county and its people at the forefront of his work. His quiet strength, invaluable guidance, and unwavering commitment to progress made him not just a political mentor, but a father figure and a trusted advisor to many, including myself.
His contributions to Busia County, both as Deputy Governor and as a dedicated public servant, will always be remembered. The impact of his leadership will be felt for generations to come,” he wrote.
He further condoled with the family and friends of the former deputy governor and wished them God’s comfort and peace as they navigate the hard times.
“To his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him, my deepest condolences. May God grant you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
“Hon. Moses Mulomi, your spirit lives on in the hearts of all of us. May you rest in eternal peace. Rest in Peace, Hon. Moses Mulomi,” he added.
