The Wanda Diamond League has unveiled its plans for the 2024 season, featuring 15 meetings across four continents.
Athletes will vie for points in their chosen disciplines at 14 series meetings from April to September, with the top performers earning a spot in the Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 13-14.
Diamond League commence
The season kicks off in Xiamen on April 20, showcasing headline events like the men’s 100m, women’s 200m, and a 100/110m hurdles double bill.
Each discipline will be featured at least four times and up to eight times throughout the season, providing ample opportunities for athletes worldwide to accumulate points.
Two meetings, the Meeting International Mohammed VI and the Wanda Diamond League Shanghai, will relocate to Marrakech and Suzhou, respectively, due to stadium renovation works in their usual locations.
Diamond League broadcast
The 14 series meetings will be condensed into a two-hour TV world program, each featuring at least 14 Diamond disciplines.
However, the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels stands out as the only meeting where all 32 Diamond League champions will be crowned over two days, encompassing every single discipline.
