“I am deeply grateful to the people of the Emurua Dikirr constituency for standing with me and supporting my ambitions. The overwhelming support I received across the constituency shows that the electorate has spoken and decided who will lead us for the remaining term up to August 2027,” he said.

The youthful politician noted that the massive support he received across the constituency showed that voters had freely made their decision on who should lead them for the remainder of the term ending in August 2027.

Rotich also expressed gratitude to different groups within the constituency, including elders, women, men, and the youth, saying their support and encouragement gave him strength during the campaigns.

His gratitude

He further acknowledged Kenyans living abroad for standing with him through prayers and goodwill messages during the by-election period.

Despite the defeat, Rotich maintained a positive tone, hinting at continuing his engagement with supporters. He disclosed plans to soon invite his supporters to his home for a celebration aimed at appreciating the unity and solidarity demonstrated during the campaigns.

“Soon I will invite you all to my home so we can celebrate together the unity and strength we have shown,” he added.

The contest

He also sent special gratitude to his party leader, Rigathi Gachagua, and his deputy, Cleophas Malala, for the support they accorded him in his bid to replace the late Johanna Ngeno, who died in a plane crash.
