The latest development comes a day after Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor revealed how Otieno met his unexpected demise.
Addressing the press after conducting a postmortem on the deceased, Oduor disclosed that he suffered several injuries on his head and hands.
The pathologist detailed that Otieno had several slash wounds on the back of his head leading to a fracture on his skull and excessive bleeding of his brain.
“There were also slash wounds on the frontal area of the head though these ones did not fracture the skull. There were also bruises on the face. We also found bruises on the arms which looked like someone who tried to defend himself,” Oduor told journalists on Friday, January 24, 2025.
“From these findings, we can say that the late Richard (Otieno) died as a result of severe head injury which was caused by a sharp object which could either be a panga or an axe which was used severally on the head. We have taken some samples for analysis which will help us see if we can apprehend the persons who did this.”
