Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has put on notice individuals circulating fake national examination papers, warning that the full force of the law will be taken against the perpetrators.

Speaking during the opening of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) container at the Kitui Central DCC offices in Kitui County on Friday, October 31, 2025, Ogamba said those attempting to mislead the candidates and compromise the integrity of national examinations will have it rough during this period.

The CS later visited Kitui Boys High School as part of the nationwide multi-stakeholder monitoring exercise to ensure the seamless administration of national examinations and assessments.

”We are aware of attempts to circulate counterfeit papers through online platforms. I wish to assure the country that these materials are fake, ineffective, and misleading. Those who attempt to compromise examination integrity will face the full force of the law,” Migos Ogamba said.

While meeting the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Education to discuss the preparedness and administration of the examinations and assessments on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Migos Ogamba also said that the Ministry of Education has embraced a multi-stakeholder approach to ensure a seamless and credible examination and assessment process for all our candidates this year.

School feeding programme

Meanwhile, as candidates across different levels of education sit their national examinations, Julius Migos Ogamba has noted the importance of the school feeding programme.

While attending the opening of the High-Level Summit on Unlocking Finance & Investments for Institutional Clean Cooking in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa, which was graced by the First Lady, Rachel Ruto, at a Nairobi hotel on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Ogamba said the program is key to access to basic education.

”The Kenya Kwanza Administration has prioritised universal access to education and the creation of a sustainable and inclusive learning environment for every child. The School Meals Programme remains a cornerstone of this vision. Institutional clean cooking is a transformative step towards revolutionising how we feed learners in our schools. It is about aligning food security with environmental stewardship, health and well-being, innovation, and inclusive economic growth,” Ogamba noted.

Present at the meeting were the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Investment Promotion, Abubakar Hassan and Kenya’s Special Envoy for Climate Change, Ambassador Ali Daud Mohamed.
