The High Court in Eldoret has issued a warrant for the arrest of a landlord in whose house a 36-year-old woman is said to have stabbed her estranged husband to death in August last year.

Justice Reuben Nyakundi directed officer Commanding Langas Police Station to effect the arrest of Charles Kariuki after he defied summons to appear in court to give his evidence-in-chief regarding the murder incident.

Winnie Maina (pictured) who is out on bond is accused of killing her husband, Wycliffe Miriti in cold blood at their Elgon View Estate in Eldoret town on August 21, 2021 after returning home from a club.

The accused, who is represented by lawyer Evans Miyienda, denied the murder charge when she appeared in court.

The deceased was a former senior logistics officer at an international beverage company based in Eldoret.
Winnie was arrested on the same day after rushing her husband who was in critical condition to the hospital with several knife stab wounds.
