Coronavirus: 57 more test positive for Covid-19

Kenya has confirmed 57 more coronavirus cases, taking the total number of infections to 887.

Government spokesman Cyrus Oguna said on Sunday that the 57 were confirmed out of 2,198 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

Out of the 57 cases, 35 are from Mombasa County. Mvita Constituency had 22 of the cases IN Mombasa.

The State spokesman also said 12 patients had been discharged.

“12 patients have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered from Coronavirus to 313,” said Mr. Oguna.

The cases are distributed as follows in Mombasa;

  • Mvita 22
  • Likoni 4
  • Changamwe 3
  • Nyali 3
  • Kisauni 2
  • Jomvu 1

Nairobi;

  • Kibra 9
  • Mandatory quarantine centre in Nairobi 2
  • Eastleigh 2
  • Aga Khan Hospital 1
  • Kamulu 1
  • Dandora 1
  • Pangani 1

Kajiado has three cases while Kwale and Kitui have one each.
