Construction proceeds on a new technical institute in Luanda
Contruction of the Emululu Technical Training Institute (pictured) is proceeding, as Luanda constituency and the Ministry of Education work to help young people in the area acquire new skills.
The school will come a major relief to hundreds of young people who have been struggling develop more skills after completing secondary education, said Luanda MP Dick Maungu yesterday.
It will offer technical courses such as plumbing, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, masonry and woodwork, he said.
“The construction of Emululu Technical Training Institute is now at an advanced stage.,” Maungu said.
“The TTI will help our youths to acquire technical skills … Once they acquire such technical skills, they will be able to get jobs and earn a livelihood.”
He urged locals to take advantage of the institute by putting up investment projects such as students’ hostels and even shops.
“I urge my people of Luanda to take advantage of these TTI to grow economically,” Maungu said.
“You should invest in the area by building rental houses and shops that will serve students.”
