Former Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has said he wants to venture into creative industry after being fired.

In a post on his Facebook page, Mutua said he wants to invest in clean content and nurture talents.

“A small voice deep inside telling me to venture into the creative economy and practise what I preach – Invest in youths, create clean content, identify and nurture talent and use my experience in Government and private sector to fight piracy and promote consumption of local content!” He said.

Confirming Mutua’s exit from KFCB, Cabinet Secretary for Information Communication Technology (ICT), Joe Mucheru said Mutua’s term at the parastatal ended on August 6.

The CS appointed Communications Authority of Kenya’s (CAK) Director of Communications and External Affairs, Christopher Wambua, as the new CEO until substantive KFCB boss is appointed.
