During the widely celebrated valentine’s day on Friday, Nairobi restaurant Café Deli hosted elderly citizens for a brunch.

The elderly people from Thogoto Home for the Aged were treated to a Luncheon at the restaurant’s branch along Kenyatta Avenue.

Decorated according to the theme of the day, Café Deli set apart an exclusive area for valentine’s treat.

The 15 elderly citizens had a reason to smile on international day of love.  “ I’m glad we are able to share this day of love with you and we hope you will get to enjoy it as well” said Obadoh Obado, the hotel CEO.

Most of them could hardly remember their valentines experience back then, but one Gorge Kinuthia recalls saying “Valentine back then was simple I don’t remember buying and giving flowers but I remember sharing appreciation messages with my loved one”. He narrated

Obado has in the past hosted different groups of the less fortunate in the society for a day filled with love at his restaurant. Last year he hosted kids from Kayole children’s home.
