Chianda Boys High School has been closed, and all students have been sent home following a fire at the institution that left one dormitory destroyed.

In a series of Facebook posts published on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the school said the learners were released in accordance with instructions from the Ministry of Education.

“The boys have been released this morning following a strict instruction from those in charge. Make sure you either pick up your son or send him fare home,” the school stated.

The administration asked parents and guardians to make immediate arrangements to receive their children or provide them with transportation money.

“We have released all the boys this morning following the instructions from the government through MOE. The boys have been released!” another post reads.
