Caleb Amisi speaks of deep pain after death of Raila’s sister

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has said letting go of the late Raila Odinga is hard.

Through a post on his verified and official X handle on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Caleb shared a photograph of the late Raila Odinga with his late sister Beryl Achieng.

In his message, Caleb said the more he looks at the photo of Raila, the more the grief grows heavier on his heart.

“This one is a real heartache!” Caleb wrote, expressing raw emotion as he reflected on the loss. The more I look at Baba’s photo just to realise he is no more, the more I am griefed,” he posted on X.

Caleb described Raila not just as a political mentor but a personal guide.

“He was not just a political father but indeed like a father figure!” he stated, noting that his passing left a deep void that words cannot easily fill.

In the same emotional post, Amisi linked the sorrow to the recent death of Raila’s sister.

“I lost a great man, and his sister is no more again! Extremely painful,” he wrote, emphasising how the family continues to face one tragedy after another.

He further extended his sympathy to the Odinga family following the death of Beryl Achieng Odinga.

“It is with profound sorrow that I have learnt of the passing of Beryl Achieng’ Odinga,” Caleb shared, noting that the loss came too soon after Raila’s death.

“Losing her so soon after the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga deepens an already difficult season for the family,” he added, sending his prayers for comfort and strength during the painful period.

Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga also joined Kenyans in mourning.

“I join Kenyans in mourning with the family and friends of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga following the passing of Beryl Achieng Odinga,” Omanga stated.

She added, “May the Odinga family find strength, comfort, and grace during this difficult time,” echoing the nation’s shared sorrow and solidarity.

As tributes continue to pour in, the Odinga family remains embraced by messages of love, prayers, and memories.
