A former Cabinet Secretary was recently embarrassed when a businessman of Somali origin tricked him.

The two had met at a city hotel and the former CS, who has fallen on hard times, asked for a Sh200,000 loan.

The businessman agreed to give him the money and told the former minister to accompany him to his office to get it.

As the trader settled the bill, he waited for him outside.

What he did not know is that the businessman had called his driver and instructed him to pick him at the back exit.

The politician waited for a long time but his would-be benefactor did not show up. When he called him, his phone was off.
