Bill Gates makes more money than East African countries combined despite dropping out of college – Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged teachers to encourage their learners to focus on their passions instead of solely concentrating on white-collar jobs.
Speaking in Mombasa where he was addressing school heads, President Uhuru asked teachers to expose their students to various ways they can earn a leaving other than the office jobs.
He asked the tutors to start exposing their learners to informal jobs, which according to him, pay way better than formal jobs.
“Let’s stop telling our children that the only available jobs are the white-collar job. Today as we speak, some farmers earn way better than teachers, professors and doctors,” the Head of State said.
The president also urged teachers to nature the passion and talents of their students. While using Microsoft CEO Bill Gates as an example, President Uhuru noted that if a passion is well natured, a student can turn out to be one of the most successful people in the world.
According to the president, it is Gates’ passion for software that has made him one of the richest people in the world despite being a college dropout.
“You teachers have the responsibility to be the ones to pull that gift out of that child to be proud of himself for the service he delivers to the country,” he said.
“Billionaires like Bill Gates and the rest dropped out in high school and the money they have today is more than what Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi have combined.”.
