Bidco coach issues relegation warning

After losing two consecutive matches in the BetKing Premier League, Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has warned his players that if the losing streak continues then they will find themselves back in the second tier league at the end of the season.
Akhulia, whose side conceded two first-half goals against Kakamega Homeboyz in Bukhungu on Sunday after another defeat to Wazito FC, is a worried man.
Speaking in Kakamega town on Monday, the tactician of the Thika-based outfit revealed that he is so much concerned with the form of the team.
“We have to change our approach and attitude if we want to continue playing in the top tier league next season.
In the last few matches, things have worked against us but we need to forget the past very fast and focus on the next matches,” said Akhulia.
“Our next home game is at Kasarani that in the real sense remains an away match since we are based in Thika town and this denies us home advantage but we are prepared to play anywhere across the country.
“I am not sure if some players are unsettled by the rumours that they are being chased by other clubs but at the moment we believe we have enough depth within our ranks that can see us finish the league in a better position.”
Akhulia also confirmed the team will be targeting a few acquisitions to bolster the side in case some players will opt to seek greener pastures elsewhere during the window transfer.
Bidco United earned promotion from National Super League last season and is currently 15th in BetKing Premier League table with eight points.
