Betika donate kits, balls to Westlands girls teams

Over 20 teams based in Kamgemi in Westlands Constituency have received a shot in the arm during the COVID-19 pandemic after getting kits courtesy of betting platform Betika.
In the wake of the pandemic, Betika na Community Shield activities were slowed down but the company deemed it fit to continue with its philanthropy to help the girls teams be ready for action once the government officially lifts the suspension of football and other disciplines.
For Betika, they have now started slowly distributing merchandise to various communities in and around Nairobi through a campaign dubbed #Turudiuwanjani.
It can be recalled that in November 2019, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) unveiled Betika as its National Super League and grassroots football partner in a Ksh 90 Million three-year deal.
Through the initiative, the company is reaching out to community based teams to kit them ahead of the resumption of football activities at an unconfirmed date.
The distribution of kits, balls and nets to teams in Kangemi at the weekend was done in a10 days to over 20 teams with all government protocols observed pertaining to COVID-19 awareness observed.
The beneficiaries include Kibagare Girls, Wysa United, Uthiru Vision., Young City, Kibagare Slums, Zion Winners, FC Hopez, Kikwetu, Red Carpets, Kangemi Patriots, Gachie Soccer, Kipande FC, Shining Universe, Matrix, FC Talent, Gachie Friends, Wonderous Youth, Kikwetu Youth, Leads United, Silver Bullets, Lucky Boys and Kangemi All Stars.
