Anestar Boys High School shrugged off their indiscipline tag to post sterling performance in the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Despite having a myriad of challenging issues during the examinations period, the institution managed to have over 20 students with A (minus).

John Chege who scored grade A- (minus) of 76 points attributed his success to hard work and teamwork.

He thanks his teachers for great assistance during the whole period.

Chege said he never expected to post such a result given that the Covid-19 pandemic caused massive disruption on school calendar.

“I want to pursue Mechanical Engineering. That is my dream field,” Chege said.

The institution’s Board of Directors Chairman Victor Gatimu said it was long since the school posted such impressive results.

He thanked the teachers and all stakeholders involved in the success and urged students to maintain discipline in their studies

“I want to call on all students to observe utmost respect for education and maintain discipline when in school,” he said.

At the same time, Ann Njeri a director at the institution said there was a need for the society to join hands in instilling discipline in students.

She urged the society to pay attention to the boychild adding that they have been neglected for a long period of time.
