Amani National Congress (ANC) party has announced major changes to its top leadership.

In the changes made public on Wednesday, April 19, Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala, who has been acting as ANC Secretary General, was promoted to the position of second deputy party, barely two months after she replaced Simon Gikuru.

Gikuru resigned in March after being shortlisted for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS).

ANC, which was founded by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, has appointed Emuhaya Member of Parliament Omboko Milemba as the new SG in an acting capacity.

Lamu Governor Issa Timamy, who succeeded Mudavadi at the helm of ANC, has been retained as party leader.

Fredrick Ikana has been picked to serve as ANC’s Kakamega branch chairperson in the new changes.

The party also named the following persons as national youth leaders; Ameera Abdulahi (Chairperson), Martin Lunalo (Vice Chairperson) and Francis Okwara Mukhwana (Secretary).

Others are Alexa Nzioki (Treasurer), Truphena Asembo (Youth Coordinator) and Fella Miheso (Organizing Secretary).

ANC further announced that it had relocated its headquarters from James Gichuru Road to Riverside Drive in Westlands, Nairobi.

“This is to notify the general public and party members of the change in ANC party leadership and the relocation of the party headquarters to 961 Riverside Drive, off Riverside Mews, House No. 15,” the party announced.
