Alice Wahome: Azimio has no place in Mt Kenya region

By , May 26, 2022

Kandara Member of Parliament (MP) Alice Wahome has maintained that the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition will not have its way into Mt.Kenya region in the upcoming election.

Speaking in Kandara, the lawmaker alluded that the region is a stronghold of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) adding that no amount of effort put by the Azimio brigade will change that.

“Jubilee and ODM parties are one thing. They have zero support in this region,” she remarked.

While expressing optimism, the outspoken legislator assured residents that UDA will capture majority of the seats in the region and other parts of the country owing to its deep roots within the country.

She added that the appointment of Martha Karua as Raila Odinga’s running mate will not lure people into voting for the ODM boss.

“We have put up plans to vote for UDA candidates only and we are sure of a huge victory in August,” she opined.

She added: “We are all behind William Ruto for the presidential seat. We are sure he will be the next president.”

Wahome threw a jibe at Azimio coalition claiming that they were only interested in changing the constitution so as to create more positions of power for those left out adding that they did not have an agenda for the people.
