Alfred Mutua reports DP Ruto, Murkomen and Duale for ‘threatening his life’

By , December 16, 2019

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua on Monday recorded a statement at Kilimani Police Station claiming that his life is in danger.

Mutua reported to the police that Deputy President William Ruto, Wajir Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen threatened to ‘deal with him’ at State House on Wednesday December 11.

“I am writing to bring to your attention the fact that the above-named persons have on two different occasions threatened me,” said Mutua in a statement.

According to Mutua, DP Ruto issued him with threats at State House on December 11 during a Banquet for Barbados Prime Minister Mia Motley.

The comment by the DP amounted to threats, added Mutua.

The Machakos boss claimed that the DP said to him; Umekua ukinichapa sana lazima sasa nikugonge. Na nitakugong (You have been attacking me a lot, now, I must crush you and I will),” claimed Mutua.

Murkomen and Duale, Mutua said, issued him with threats on November 25 during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

In his statement, Mutua attached the conversation excerpt in which he claims it contains the threats.
