The Muslim clergy has called on the Kenya Kwanza administration to embark on delivering promises made to Kenyans during the electioneering period.

Speaking on Monday, November 4, 2024, the clergy opined that Kenyans are keenly looking up to the Kenya Kwanza regime to diligently enforce the key promises they made and make life bearable once again.

The Muslim group asserted that Kenyans are tired of constant political talk that adds no value to them and their families. According to the clergy, leaders should now take up the mantle and work towards the delivery of services to Kenyans.

Alluding to Kindiki’s assumption of office of the deputy president, the leaders subsequently called on the DP to help the president fulfil his mandated roles and deliver to the citizens.

Wakenya wana matarajio mengi kwa rais wao, ikiwa miaka miwili imepita haina kitu, basi mitatu iliyobaki imalizike kama kazi imefanyika,” they said.

Additionally, the leaders called on legislators to expedite policies that are beneficial to Kenyans in the same manner that they impeached former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

They also urged the Senate and Parliament to work with the president, advise him accordingly and involve him in policies that will affect livelihoods. The clergy also urged the Head of State to look into key national issues affecting Kenyans such as the recent transition to SHIF, lecturers strikes among others, for the prosperity of the nation.

Tayari tushapata naibu wa rais mpya mheshimiwa Kindiki, tungeomba sasa kazi ianze na kazi kuanza tungeomba wabunge na viongozi wengine wote, lazima wamsaidie, lazima wamshauri, wamhusishe katika mambo mengi na kusaidia, tuache witchhunting sababu sisi wakenya ndio tunaumia,” they added.
