The violent
Violent men often start small, with a broken plate here, and a fist in the wall right above your head there, and verbal control tactics. The signs are always there in the things we ignore. This year, choose to see the signs and take off fast. Do not pray for them to change. Just leave.
The emotional recycler
The emotional recycler is the person who keeps ghosting you then resurfacing. He will leverage the good memories when you were together to get back into your good grades. He will show up at times and be absent 99 per cent of the time. Your feelings are not a yoyo he can play with. There is a reason you broke up, remember that and leave.
The cheat
If he cheats on you once and you forgive him, he will probably cheat on you again. Cheat on me once, shame on you. Cheat on me 255 times, shame on me. Draw your line in the sand and stand by it.
The stingy one
Men are supposed to provide. If he is not providing for you, he is providing for someone else. Men should be begging you to pay your rent and school fees. Men invest their money and energy in the person they value. If they do not spend on you, you are probably not ‘wife material for him. So leave him without a glance back.
The criminal
Criminals have a certain je ne sais quoi that calls to the saviour in all women’s hearts. This pull is at the centre of most fraud cases. Do not stay with a criminal and dream of having cute criminal babies. Leave. Remember that Bonnie and Clyde, the famous American thieving couple, died in the end. And there is nothing romantic about that. Keep your heart intact in 2022!
