Wajackoyah backs Ruto’s criticism of opposition’s lack of agenda and plan
By Luke Oluoch, November 14, 20252022 Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has joined President William Ruto in castigating the current opposition over what he termed as a lack of an agenda to sell to Kenyans.
Speaking to a local TV station on Friday, November 14, 2025, the politician said that the opposition outfit has failed in coming up with an agenda for Kenyans to interrogate.
Nothing to offer
“For the first time, I agree with Ruto on that. They have nothing to offer. What they have to offer is Ruto’s name every day. They have not sat down and shown us what they have as an economic and political blueprint for the nation and have it for people to debate it,” he said.
Wjackoya, who similarly voiced objection to many of Ruto’s policies, asserted that the opposition politician had done little in convincing Kenyans as an alternative political force.
Ruto’s criticisms of opposition
“Ruto is doing the bad things, but these colleagues of mine are not offering anything, and maybe it is from that proposition that the president is speaking,” he stated.
His scathing remarks follow after Ruto stepped up his criticism of the opposition brigade in his ongoing tour of the Ukambani region that started on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

In his latest onslaught on the United Opposition, Ruto said the team was solely focused on hounding him out of office and lacked a meaningful agenda to sell to Kenyans other than the “wantam” chant.
“Those people who have no agenda or plans are not people we can entrust with leadership by electing them to office. Let us not destroy our country by electing such people. We have to ensure we continue the projects and the work we have started,” he said.
Speak on policies
His remarks were echoed by his deputy, Kithure Kindiki, who challenged the opposition politician to desist from mere political name-calling and engage the people on their developmental record.
“We want to change the politics of this nation. The people speaking here are saying what they have done to the citizens. I would like our opponents to also speak on their agenda. They should stop inciting and sowing divisions among the people and also speak of their plans for the people,” he added.
“When we speak of the projects we have undertaken, we also want them to speak of their policies and not only to sow division within groups of people,” he added.
