UDA storms Mbeere North, courts voters with promises ahead of by-election

In a statement shared on X on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the party said its National Chairperson and Embu Governor, Cecily Mbarire, reaffirmed UDA’s commitment to making what she described as deliberate and impactful strides toward elevating Mbeere North to greater heights.

Governor Mbarire met residents and opinion leaders drawn from the three wards of Mbeere North in what was described as an engaging and productive meeting. “During an engaging and productive meeting with residents and opinion leaders drawn from the three wards of Mbeere North, Governor Mbarire rallied support for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate, Leonard Leo Wamuthende, ahead of the forthcoming by-election,” the statement reads
The governor used the opportunity to rally support for Leonard Leo Wamuthende, UDA’s candidate for the Mbeere North parliamentary seat. Her message to the residents was clear: the ruling party intends to translate its national development agenda into tangible results on the ground.

She also expressed gratitude for what she termed the valuable insights and overwhelming support shared during the engagement. According to Mbarire, UDA’s mission in Mbeere North goes beyond politics. It is about building a legacy of development that reflects the party’s promise to deliver for ordinary citizens.
“The Governor expressed deep appreciation for the valuable insights and overwhelming support shared during the engagement, assuring the people that the UDA administration will continue working hand in hand with them to fulfil its promises and secure a prosperous future for Mbeere North,” the statement reads
