The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leadership convened a high-level meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the party’s headquarters, Hustler Plaza, on Ngong Road, to review key operational and strategic matters as the party prepares for the upcoming by-elections.

The National Steering Committee (NSC) meeting was chaired by the party’s Deputy Leader, Lamu Governor Issa Timamy.

“The meeting was chaired by the 2nd Deputy Party Leader and Lamu Governor Issa Timamy and was also attended by the Chairperson and Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, Secretary General Senator Hassan Omar Hassan, National Assembly Majority Leader, Kimani Ichung’wah, Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, Deputy Secretary General, Omboko Milemba, among other NSC members,” the statement reads

According to the statement issued by UDA, the committee focused on the administration of the by-elections scheduled for November 27, 2025, and the rollout of grassroots mobilisation programs across the country. The meeting aimed to ensure the party stays aligned with its national objectives while consolidating its organisational structure ahead of the polls.

The statement reads: “The Steering Committee processed critical Party activities, including the administration of the by-elections slated for November 27, 2025 and grassroots mobilisation programmes, efforts that will be rolled out in the coming days to ensure that the UDA Party remains true to its national billing,” the statement reads

Party officials stressed the importance of these engagements in strengthening the party’s outreach to local communities, coordinating member registration, and ensuring that UDA’s operations at the grassroots level are seamless and inclusive.

As the party moves closer to the polls, UDA’s top officials reiterated their commitment to a robust organisational strategy that not only supports election preparations but also reinforces the party’s long-term vision for national cohesion and political stability.
