Ruto will win Raila’s strongholds without anyone’s endorsement – MP Caleb Amisi

By , November 27, 2024

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has claimed that President William Ruto will win the support base of Kenya’s African Union Commission (AUC) Chairmanship candidate Raila Odinga, without anyone’s endorsement, during the next 2027 general elections.

Taking to his official X account on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Amisi stated that President Ruto will apply the same script he used on Mt Kenya voters during the last 2022 general elections.

Terming him as a very smart, vicious, conniving and calculative politician who uses money massively to achieve his goals, the lawmaker argued that Ruto will take advantage of his current relationship with Raila.

According to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) second-term lawmaker, the head of state will endear himself to Raila’s supporters and use resources on the Orange party leaders.

As a result, the people in Raila’s political strongholds will start praising Ruto in the absence of their kingpin who would be in Addis Ababa should he manage to secure the AUC top seat.

Winning Western region

Amisi further argues that Ruto will make several trips to the Western Kenya region that would see him get branded as one of their own, the same way he did in Central Kenya during the last election period.

The lawmaker went ahead to state that for Ruto to win a re-election, he will not need anyone’s endorsement, but will now make coalition government with other regions using Raila’s support base.

“Ruto is a very smart, vicious, conniving, calculative politician who uses money massively to achieve his goals. Deal with him at angle theta! How #Ruto outsmarted #Uhuru in central last time. He took advantage of bromance between the two ,gained goodwill from Uhuru support base, and remained close to people, and their leaders were a phone call away, unlike Uhuru, who was always absent . Forget about other underlying reasons. This was the straw that broke camel back.

“Same script in #Raila stronghold. He will take advantage of the relationship, endear himself to Raila supporters, use resources on overzealous #Odm leaders, people will say ,he is the one bringing development since independence, we respect raila but he is in AU ,ruto is our son too and other short stories ;and while Raila is busy at #AU and absent from his people,Ruto will be loitering around the western hemisphere like his bedroom. He will not need anyone’s endorsement but will now make coalition government with other regions using Baba support base. Take it or leave it,it is what it is! Kenya needs Renaissancece!” Amisi stated.

Ruto’s reception in Kisumu

Amisi’s statement comes just a day after President Ruto received a joyous welcome at Kondele, Kisumu County, after attending the Fourth African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AFSNET) on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Vijana wa Kisumu nawapenda sana na ninawatakia baraka za mwenyezi mungu. Acha niseme asante sane kwa kutukaribisha. Mungu awabariki na Mungu anawependa sana,” Ruto told the residents.
