Ruto highlighted the success of his programmes that critics once dismissed.

“Our choice of subsidy on agriculture production, rather than consumption, was met with scepticism, but the results speak for themselves today. Those who doubted this two years ago confirm that it was the right thing to subsidise production and not consumption,” he said.

Ksh4.4B for entrepreneurs

“We started the NYOTA project verification last week. The rest of the process is underway. From next week, we will be releasing another Ksh4.4B for those who have undergone training and qualified. In Nairobi alone, we are looking for 6,000 entrepreneurs,” Ruto said.

He emphasised that the funding aims to empower ordinary Kenyans and enhance economic participation at the grassroots level.

The initiative provides not only training but also mentorship and access to financing for small business start-ups.

Ruto also reminded the public that the government’s production-focused subsidies in agriculture are yielding results.

Farmers are now producing more, credit ratings are improving, and local markets are seeing increased activity.

The President’s remarks signal that his administration remains committed to creating opportunities for ordinary Kenyans while addressing past criticisms and proving the long-term value of strategic economic interventions.

With Ksh4.4B set to reach qualified entrepreneurs nationwide, Ruto’s message is clear: his policies are designed to benefit those willing to work hard and embrace the opportunities provided by the government
