Rigathi: Azimio is planning to pick President Uhuru’s brother as Raila’s running mate
Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua now claims that plans are underway to have President Uhuru Kenyatta’s younger brother Muhoho Kenyatta as Raila Odinga’s deputy in the coming elections.
Speaking at Kimana, Kajiado County where the Kenya Kwanza brigade took their campaigns, Gachagua claimed that the move to bring Muhoho into politics is a move planned by Raila and the president to promote political dynasties in the country.
The MP claimed that some rogue cartels in government want to dictate that only certain influential families should lead the country at the expense of other potential leaders who come from little known or poor families.
“Dynasty politics is at play and we are privy to information that Raila wants to pick Uhuru’s brother as his running mate. Some individuals are categorically claiming that leadership should be reserved for only three families; the Kenyatta’s, Jaramogi’s and Moi’s,” he claimed.
“The only shortcoming our rivals attribute to Ruto is that he is a son of a peasant and his family is not well known. I want to remind our opponents that voters are not famous but they have the power of making Ruto the president at the ballot,” he added.
The Mathira MP further alleged that the clique of corrupt individuals who want to lock DP Ruto from the presidency does not mean well for the country noting that they are only championing their selfish interests.
