ODM’s Governor Lenku disowns Memusi, endorses Wiper candidate in Kajiado Central

By , April 18, 2022

Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has endorsed the candidature of Wiper Member of Parliament aspirant Moses Birisha in Kajiado Central, saying the incubent Elija Memusi of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is disrespectful and abusive leader.

Speaking in Kajiado Central where he endorsed Birisha, Lenku further said Memusi is not loyal to the party and Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition and that he partly supports United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

“Memusi is a political thug. We have decided in one accord that we can no longer take his abuses.

“He only wears a hat of ODM but behind the scenes, he is busy popularizing our competitors’ party. Memusi should strive to learn that party loyalty is important,” Lenku said.

Despite being in one political party, Memusi who is known for his attacks on the governor, has vowed he will not support his candidature whatsoever.

Instead, he has thrown his weight behind Jubilee candidate and former Governor David Nkedianye.

The political rivalry between the vocal legislator and Lenku has played out in public severally.

Lenku publicly endorsing Birisha who is the immediate former County enforcement boss is likely to open a can of worms among the two leaders.
