Nyoro says Kenyans will not hate each other for politicians’ gain
By Nancy Marende, July 10, 2025Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro has stated that Kenyans will not turn against each other for the benefit of politicians.
Speaking when he attended a Members Information Day at Wanjengi Coffee Factory in Wangu Ward, Kiharu Constituency, on July 10, 2025, he noted that leaders are creating narratives to divide Kenyans.
“Let me make a clear plea: I have seen a sustained, diabolical narrative being peddled by politicians for their parochial interests, pitting these Kenyans against the other Kenyans,” he stated.
“We also want to tell them, ‘You have benefited in the past by dividing Kenyans. This time round, there is no Kenyan who will hate the other Kenyan for an individual to benefit’,” he added.
Further, he has stated that the government must take responsibility for the businesses lost and deaths recorded during the commemoration of the Saba Saba protests on July 7, 2025.
“I have been observing the speeches and the demeanour of the people in government around this issue. Whatever happened on Monday, the government must bear all the responsibility for all the businesses burnt and lives lost,” he stated.

Protests
Nyoro questioned the government on whether it had intelligence on the massive looting and destruction that happened during the protests that have led to the loss of at least 31 people in the country.
“Was there intelligence that there was mayhem to be vented upon Kenyans if there was no intelligence? t to remind the government that taxpayers give Ksh50 billion for intelligence gathering alone. And therefore, if the government didn’t have intelligence, then they have no business calling themselves a government. If they knew, why did things get here?” he posed.
Furthermore, he questioned why the government failed to protect Kenyans and their property when they pay Ksh200 billion in taxes toward internal security.
“The government spends Ksh200 billion on internal security alone. If the government cannot protect the lives and property of the people of Kenya. While we pay taxes, what is your work?”
“I have heard the governor of Kajiado confess that the people who vandalized property in Kajiado are not locals. The people of Kirinyaga, Nakuru, and Murang’a decry the same issue. The government is very responsible for either commission or omission. Stop giving Kenyans many stories.”
