Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui has on Tuesday October 5, 2021 been installed as a Luo elder.

Lee was installed as an elder by a section of members of the larger Luo Council of Elders at his Nakuru City office.

The installation comes in the backdrop of his recent proclamation of his unwavering support to ODM Leader Raila Odinga, a perceived kingpin of the Luo community.

In a recent funeral event in Nakuru county attended by the ODM Supremo, Lee avowed that he will vote and campaign for Raila against all odds.

“I have voted five or six times and in all those years, I have never voted for Raila Odinga. In the coming year, I see that changing. I sat down and realized that when Jubilee was in trouble, Raila was the only person who came to the rescue,” he said.

The Jubilee governor and a host of other leaders from the Mt Kenya region, have been accompanying Raila in his political forays of the vote-rich region.
