Morara Kebaso: I have never taken a bribe in my entire life
By Kenneth Mwenda, August 23, 2025Activist Morara Kebaso has once again placed his commitment to integrity at the forefront of his public persona, insisting that he has never engaged in corruption.
“I can swear on my mother’s name. I HAVE NEVER TAKEN A BRIBE IN MY LIFE TO DO ANYTHING. Not even 10 bob. I am not an angel. But I am not corrupt. Write that down for the record,” Morara declared on X on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
On the same day, Morara officially announced his return as CEO of Morara Home Furniture. The move marks a shift from political advocacy to entrepreneurship, signaling his intent to continue influencing Kenya’s civic and economic landscape through business.
Morara’s political journey has been defined by a focus on youth empowerment and good governance. As the founder of the Inclusion of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party, he consistently urged Gen Z to actively participate in shaping the country’s future.
“Our job is not to complain about this or that & him or her. Our mission is to offer solutions. To ensure that the values and principles of good governance are held in high esteem. We want justice and opportunities for the youth to live, work, and grow,” he stated earlier this year.
He has also addressed his previous political affiliations, including a brief association with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, which he described as an effort to steer leadership away from tribal politics.
“I tried to convince him to abandon tribal politics. He refused. At least I tried,” Morara explained, emphasising that principles guided his actions.

Transparency amid public scrutiny
Despite moments of public scrutiny, Morara has maintained transparency, months earlier offering refunds to fundraising contributors in the past to avoid any perception of impropriety.
Morara’s decision to leave politics follows a brief period in June and July 2025 when he hinted at stepping back to focus on personal life. He had previously stressed that fighting for Kenya was a duty he could not ignore,
“I have decided that this is not the kind of country I want my children to grow up in. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, fighting for it is not a choice I should make; IT IS A DUTY I CANNOT AVOID,” he stated.
