Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Matiang’i has opened new Jubilee Party offices in Nakuru County to strengthen its grassroots presence.

Taking it to his social media handle after the opening of these offices on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the Jubilee Party presidential candidate Matiang’i said that this move will help the party in improving its presence on the grassroots level as the party plans to organise itself toward the upcoming general election in 2027.

“This morning, I officiated the opening of two Jubilee offices in Nakuru County, deepening our grassroots presence as we organise, listen to the people, and fix our country,” Matiang’i stated.

Jubilee reorganisation

Recently, the Jubilee party realigned the management in a move to revamp it ahead of the 2027 polls.

In the new organisation, NEC approved the following appointments:

  1. Deputy Party Leader (Operations): Jeremiah Kioni
  2. Secretary General: Moitalel Ole Kenta
  3. Deputy Secretary General: Zack Kinuthia
  4. National Organising Secretary: Yassin Noor Haji
  5. Chairperson: Vincent Mogaka Kimoki
  6. Executive Director: Dan Mwangi
  7. Director of Elections: Kiembi Gitura
  8. Chair, MCA Caucus: Peter Kados
  9. Jubilee Foundation (Public Policy): Saitoti Torome

The move to reorganise the party has been seen as part of the political moves to strengthen its turf as it woos other regions gearing up towards the 2027 shutdown to stop President William Ruto’s reelection bid.

The Jubilee Party has reiterated its commitment to the united opposition and indicated that it shall remain in the united opposition to oust President William Ruto from power.

Although the United Opposition are still holding back from fronting their presidential candidate, Matiang’i has the upper hand to be fronted by the United Opposition to contest in 2027, as the political chessboard is already getting volatile.
