Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga expressed the view that the Mt. Kenya Region made a mistake by aligning with the UDA to form a government without having a distinct political party.

During his appearance on Milele FM on Monday morning, Njenga pointed out that other regions, such as Nyanza, Rift Valley, and Eastern, have their parties led by Raila Odinga, William Ruto, and Kalonzo Musyoka, respectively, and they are unified in their political positions.

In contrast, he noted that the Mt. Kenya Region lacks a cohesive party.

Asked where Jubilee ranks as a Mt Kenya Party, Njenga said the party was not as powerful as it was and they are looking for a stronger party.

Maina Njenga on attracting crowds

When questioned on how he attracts large crowds in the region, he stated that the region has a ‘loud voice’ and almost 80% are listening to him.
