“On February 27th, I hosted a successful strategy session with my grassroots mobilizers from Narok County at my home in Enkanasa Village. Amid ODM’s internal divisions, we resolved to rally firmly behind the party’s top organ, laying the groundwork for the first ODM grassroots meeting at Melelo Centre, Narok South,” Ledama said.
At the same time, the Narok Senator maintained that the gathering was pivotal as it sought to unite party leadership led by Oburu Oginga.

Oburu’s ODM strategic plan
Meanwhile, the ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga recently outlined a deliberate pivot in the party’s political strategy during a women’s economic empowerment event.
Oburu, speaking during a women’s empowerment forum in Homa Bay on Friday, February 27, 2026, emphasised that empowering women remains central to nation-building, linking it to broader inclusive growth efforts. He declared a clear mission for ODM ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We are intentionally moving from the friction of political competition to the stability of collaborative governance to ensure a prosperous and inclusive nation for all.”
“Fortify the Orange House and Build Strategic Alliances.” This approach focuses on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures to maintain its position as Kenya’s most organised and resilient party. By investing in internal renewal, Oburu said ODM is preparing its members for future political challenges.
Joined by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and hosted by Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, the gathering highlighted women’s role in national development and the emerging cooperation between ODM and the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Central to Oburu’s address was a shift in approach toward UDA, describing the engagement as a cooperation of purpose guided by a Kenya First philosophy.
He stressed the importance of prioritising the 10-point national agenda for tangible results.
