Kutuny speaks as Ruto consolidates support base in Rift Valley

By , January 20, 2021

Cherangany Member of Parliament, Joshua Kutuny has faulted politicians allied to Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee Party for using a “selective amnesia that is causing confusion.”

He told the politicians allied to the Deputy President William Ruto to focus on real hustlers instead of “riding on the ignorance of the poor people to drive a wedge between them and the government.”

“I have noted that real beneficiaries of the deputy president are not hustlers as we are being made to understand. It is absurd to make Kenyans believe in a narrative that does not assist them,” he said.

Speaking to the People Daily in his constituency, the MP told the DP to stop criticising the same government he was elected to serve and termed his political intolerance as most unfortunate.

This comes as DP Ruto consolidates his support base in his Rift Valley backyard.

Last week, former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto joined his camp.

The DP also visited West Pokot Governor John Lonyang’apuo at his rural home where they held talks.

Kutuny said those propagating the hustler narrative should start empowering the haves not instead of misusing them to ascend to power come 2022.

Kuttuny who is an ardent supporter of the handshake said he had nothing against the DP whom he termed as a very shrewd political kingpin of the Rift Valley saying their differences are only on ideologies that differ.
