Kindiki makes pledge on Ruto’s campaign promises

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki now says all the promises President William Ruto made during the 2022 campaigns will be fulfilled.
In a statement on Sunday, April 13, 2025, Kindiki highlighted the construction of 400 markets across the country as one of the achievements of the Kenya Kwanza government towards achieing a dignified life for Kenyans.
“We continue to create a dignified environment for small-scale traders, among them Mama Mboga and Boda Boda riders, to thrive and spur the growth of our Country’s economy from the grassroots. The Kenya Kwanza Administration is constructing 400 modern markets across the Country, with all the required amenities, including expanded spaces to accommodate more traders, cold storage facilities, rooms for lactating mothers, ICT hubs and social halls,” he stated.
“In Kiambu County, 25 modern markets are in various stages of completion. Under the stewardship of President William Samoei Ruto , the Government is on course in the fulfilment of all the pre-election commitments.”
Other promises that Kindiki says he is keen on fulfilling include completion of all road projects that had stalled, creating jobs for millions of our young people and boosting production and profitability in the agricultural sector through deliberate administrative, policy and regulatory interventions.
Kindiki issued the statement moments after he joined leaders and small-scale traders in Kiambaa Constituency, Kiambu County, among them mama mbogas and boda doda riders for a Women and Youth economic empowerment engagement.
He was accompanied by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii, MPs John Njuguna Kawanjiku (Kiambaa), Ann Muratha (Woman Representative, Kiambu), Alice Ng’ang’a (Thika Town), Machua Waithaka (Kiambu Town), GG Kagombe (Gatundu South), Elijah Njoroge Kururia (Gatundu North), Jane Kagiri (Woman Representative, Laikipia), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Reuben Kiborek (Mogotio), Sabina Chege (Nominated).
