By Francis Muli, November 28, 2025Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has congratulated Anthony Kisoi following his victory in the Mumbuni North Ward by-election, describing the win as a strong endorsement of the party’s values and the aspirations of local residents.
In a statement on Friday, November 28, 2025, shortly after the announcement of results, Kalonzo said the people of Mumbuni North had spoken “with clarity and conviction,” entrusting Kisoi with the responsibility to champion their interests.
“Congratulations to Anthony Kisoi on your well-deserved victory in the Mumbuni North Ward by-election. The people have spoken with clarity and conviction, entrusting you with their hopes, their aspirations, and their faith in a leadership that puts people first,” Kalonzo said.
Kisoi clinched the seat after garnering 3,849 votes against his closest rival, Harrison Wambua of the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party, who garnered 2,766 votes.
He emphasized that the victory went beyond an individual achievement, framing it instead as a reaffirmation of Wiper Party’s foundational principles.
“This win is more than a personal triumph; it is a clear reaffirmation of the values our Wiper Party holds dear: peace, integrity, humility, and service to all,” he added.
Kalonzo urged Kisoi to lead with dignity and remain focused on meaningful development for the ward, noting that the community expects tangible progress following the by-election.
“As you take up this responsibility, may your leadership uphold dignity, and champion meaningful progress for the people of Mumbuni North,” he said.
The Wiper leader also used the moment to highlight the party’s broader mission, framing Kisoi’s win as part of a step-by-step effort to strengthen governance and unity across the country.
“The journey to renew and heal our nation continues, step by step, community by community,” Kalonzo said.
The Mumbuni North by-election was among several held across the country, drawing significant political interest as parties tested their grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 General Election. Wiper’s win is expected to bolster the party’s influence in Machakos County, one of its traditional strongholds.
