Jubilee party awards Moses Kuria’s brother direct ticket in Juja parliamentary race

Moses Kuria’s brother has been handed a direct ticket by the ruling Jubilee party to compete for the Juja parliamentary seat in the coming elections.

Aloise Kinyanjui, who had previously expressed his intention to vie for the MP seat on Kuria’s Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party ticket, was handed the Jubilee ticket on Sunday.

Kinyanjui dumped his brother’s party following Kuria’s decision to join Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto.

The move by Kinyanjui to vie on a Jubilee party ticket shows the political division in MP Kuria’s home. This is evident after his other brother Joel Ngigi Kuria; a Chief Officer of Agriculture in Kiambu County also opted to support Governor James Nyoro for the Kiambu governor seat and not the lawmaker who is seeking the same on a CCK party ticket.

Ngigi is also known to be a staunch supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta and was one of the strong promoters of the flopped Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
