The seven are Chris Wamalwa (FORD-Kenya), George Natembeya (DAP-K), Wilfred Muraya (Usawa Party), Jim Nduruchi (Independent), Timothy Kiplagat Korir (Independent), Prof. Ben Wanjala (Independent) and Wycliffe Eshiwani (Independent).

Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa.

Speaking after he was cleared with his running mate, Joyce Cheruto Keter, Wamalwa pointed an accusing finger at Trans Nzoia County Returning commissioner Sam Ojwang’ saying he is biased and is likely to interfere with the county’s succession politics.

Wamalwa said he has petitioned the National Assembly and Commission on Administration of Justice against Ojwang’s conduct.

“We are asking that Trans Nzoia County Commissioner one Mr. Ojwang’ be transferred elsewhere for breaching the public officers’ Act. He is showing conflict of interest and biases in Trans Nzoia politics,” Wamalwa said.

He further said his government will be inclusive of all communities living in the county.

“My government will accommodate all communities and reflect the face of Kenya,” Wamalwa added.
