Azimio La Kina Mama brigade yesterday took their campaigns to Kajiado county where they rallied residents to support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

The leaders, led by Ida Odinga maintained that Azimio is key in empowering women.  In a colourful ceremony dubbed Wamama na Raila held at Kimana, Loitoktok, Ida rallied the women to be peace ambassadors during this electioneering period to avert bloody skirmishes.

“We do not want our children to die because of elections. Life is precious and we should only focus on competing with the agenda. Let us shun politics of violence,” she said.

Governor Joseph Ole Lenku said the region is not a contested county but a stronghold of Azimio. “My support for Raila is unwavering and I want to reassure him that Kajiado will deliver votes for him,” said Lenku.  Nominated Senator Judith Pareno lauded Ida for her unwavering support for Raila, saying it has been significant for the former Premier’s political ambitions.
